D. in Biology from the Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of Dresden. He has published the results of some of his research in prestigious journals such as JCS, Current Biology and Genome Research. He was awarded the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) fellowship and the Marie-Curie fellowship. His research interests have been in cell structure, the nervous system and hereditary cancer.

Extensive experience in the areas of analysis, creativity, and process management in different companies. Innovation Director of the Basque Food Cluster. She combines her work life with teaching as a professor of Commercial Distribution, Customer Experience, and Assortment and Price Management. She collaborates in different postgraduate courses within the modules of Operational Marketing, Negotiation, Channels, and Consumer Behavior.
