This is obtained through a solid, comprehensive education in fields such as international relations, geopolitics, geostrategy, comparative political systems, foreign politics and trade, languages, etc.

This comprehensive and rigorous degree program is designed in collaboration with leading international figures who guide our students throughout their educational journey and provide them with a solid academic foundation.

Our students will develop the skills necessary to perform tasks related to advising, decision-making, management, linguistic and cultural mediation, negotiation, and the international representation of state or intergovernmental public institutions.

This dual-degree program features faculty members who are active professionals in the international arena, and its student body includes young people from different parts of the world, which will allow students to gain a global perspective on world problems, its linguistic and cultural differences, and their solutions. The degree offers an updated, specialized, and multidisciplinary curriculum fully aligned with the current needs of the job market. The specialist course also provides a response to the challenges posed by the international community.

It has the following distinctive features:

  • Design of a trilingual curriculum in which students achieve a C2 level in English and Spanish, and a C1 level in a second foreign language (French or German) during their studies.
  • Students have the opportunity to study a third foreign language (French or German) and reach a C1 level.
  • Training in two different professions and specialization in a professional field through one of the following specialties, one of which the student must complete:
    • Translation and Interpretation (MTI).
    • Language Education (MEL).
  • Work placements hold a key role, carrying a weight of 12 credits in the study plan to ensure hands-on professional experience.
  • State-of-the-art facilities that support practical training, including a computer lab equipped with translation software, a language laboratory, and interpreting booths for hands-on practice.
  • Students have the opportunity to pursue the Specialist Course in International Relations, which provides them with a comprehensive education in areas such as international organizations and treaties, foreign policy, comparative political systems, globalization, geopolitics, and international cooperation.

Trilingual Program

In the dual-degree program Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Language Teaching + Specialist Course in International Relations, students receive a trilingual education: in Spanish, English, and either French or German. To be eligible for the program, students must demonstrate a B1 level of English proficiency. For French and German, no prior knowledge is required. The English language training provided throughout the program enables students to achieve a high level of proficiency in the language (C2) and, as a result, to compete in the job market on an equal footing with graduates of this degree program in other European countries.

To this end, a curriculum has been designed in which, in addition to students learning English starting in the first year, 50% of the required subjects are taught in English.

Cuerpo

In the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Language Teaching, students receive a trilingual education: in Spanish, English, and either French or German. To be eligible for the program, students must demonstrate a B1 level of English proficiency. For French and German, no prior knowledge is required.

The English language training offered throughout the program enables students to achieve a level of proficiency in this language (C2) and, as a result, to compete in the job market on an equal footing with graduates of this degree program in other European countries.
To this end, a curriculum has been designed in which, in addition to students learning English starting in the first year, 50% of the required subjects are taught in English.

Students must choose to study a second foreign language: French or German, with the option of taking the other language as an elective (French or German). Despite starting with no prior knowledge, the training provided from the first year equips them with oral and written proficiency at a C1 level, enabling them to take courses taught in these languages during the second cycle of their studies.

Engage in your profession

Cuerpo

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico campus is designed to allow students to gain practical experience in their field from their first year onward. As a result, the university has modern, well-equipped facilities that simulate real-world work environments.

Students in the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Language Teaching program can join the Language Support Service (SAPling) at the University, where, under the guidance of professionals, they can observe and participate in real-world cases. These experiences will enable them to become aware, from the very beginning, of the linguistic needs arising from the use of the language in these work contexts and of the specific professional competencies that these contexts require and which, therefore, they should focus their attention more closely on and strive to develop during their training process. The faculty encourages students to get involved in campus life and guides them in launching projects and ideas that will help them develop their careers from day one. The educational model is not limited to fulfilling the students' curricular requirements but also aims to ensure their theoretical and practical training and their full engagement in their professional environment. Professors-tutors are responsible for guiding and supervising students' work and thereby helping them make the most of their contact with the professional world.

In addition, the University has numerous work placement agreements with companies in various sectors that complement students’ learning and help them develop the transferable competencies they will need when applying for jobs. The Universidad Europea del Atlántico helps you turn your dreams into action.

Upon completion of the program, students will receive the BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN TRANSLATION AND LANGUAGE TEACHING + SPECIALIST COURSE IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS, awarded by the Universidad Europea del Atlántico.
